A fresh twist in an extraordinary tale
Twenty years on from clinching Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) as a client, we continue to work with the Groups & Travel Trade sales team. Today they generate approximately 37% of HRP’s total annual visitor footfall. Twenty years ago, it was a much smaller percentage.
We love the scope we have to explore new ways to help them achieve their mission – namely: to inspire people to visit six extraordinary palaces. And while the essence of that brief hasn’t changed, it constantly throws up fresh challenges, as the HRP sales team seeks out new markets to tap.
A Fanfare that impacts footfall
To support this activity, we publish for them a lively and topical newsletter called Fanfare three times a year in seven languages. Available both online and in print, it contains notice of upcoming exhibitions and seasonal events, as well as special tours to help group travel organisers plan their excursions and itineraries. To keep interest bubbling away between editions, a short, single article e-zine called Fanfare Quick Blast is circulated.
As well as Fanfare, we have also created print and online advertisements to promote upcoming events and seasonal themes, with recent campaigns including Queen Victoria commemorations at Kensington Palace, Henry VIII’s Festival of Gold at Hampton Court Palace and the Year of the Garden.
Evidence of our design effectiveness includes a recent online ad that generated over 1500 page impressions and a print ad that received 70 reader response enquiries.
