Open Habitat

Transforming outdoor spaces

It’s not on every project that, as you start taking the brief, you immediately wish you were the customer.

Open Habitat had that effect when the client team started explaining their vision… enabling people to live life in a supremely flexible indoor/outdoor space.

We loved the idea of transforming our own home spaces, and doing the things we most love – be that painting, hanging out with friends or listening to music – surrounded by nature.

With our feet planted firmly back down to earth, we began the task of creating a brand identity and website for this ambitious new business, set up by a trio of successful entrepreneurs: an interior designer, a lighting designer and specialist builder. Their main offering? Stunningly beautiful hi-spec Italian-designed pergolas.

For us, the creation of a brand identity is about distilling the essence of a product or organisation, identifying what makes it unique and then expressing it in the simplest, most direct and memorable way.

The website needed a lightness of touch — underpinned by a sound strategy and content organised to allow different web visitors to have tailored journeys through the site — and also be inspired to take the next step.

“A very BIG thank you Jonathan and Paul. You guys have been patient, professional, meticulous and effective. As the client you have listened to our needs and have managed to exceed our expectations. Finally, you have provided us with a brand and website that I believe is of the highest standard and quality and I am extremely satisfied with the results.”
